I just bought this a few weeks ago. So far it works really well. Burners heat up much faster then my old oven did. Very good looking oven and seems to be built well. The only thing I wish it had is my old oven showed which exact burner was still hot after being turned off. This one just shows what side the burner is that is still warm. Excited to see how well it works for Thanksgiving. Will make it very nice to be able to cook 2 things at different temperatures at one time. I have been very happy with previous Maytag appliances I have purchased in the past and sure this will be no different.

My new stove was quickly installed damaged. The repairman who came said it was obviously dropped. I am to get a new stove but have waited weeks and can't even get an answer from Maytag as to when it will be delivered. We did not even have it a week and the first time we used the convection oven it did not work. The fan was bent or not aligned and it was so loud we could not take it. We are now over 2 weeks without it being fixed, still waiting on parts I guess. We tried to get it exchanged and Maytag said nope. They did not care one bit. I cannot stand this range now. We hate having it in the house. When you buy a brand new item you expect it to work and you should be able to expect the company to replace it if it does not work. Maytag has horrible customer service. I would avoid any of their products or product lines. No one should have to go through this and experience the rude people and service Maytag.

Not Understanding How the Convection Cooks

I had a Maytag Gemini convection double oven for 18 years and just had to replace it with this one. I can't figure out the convection cooking. When setting convection roasting/baking on my previous one, the temperature and timer had to be set together. The range calculated how long it should cook and timer alerted me to check roast/bake when it thought it may be done. If it wasn't cooked enough, I just pushed the button to continue cooking. This unit does not seem to have that feature, or I am doing something wrong. I have ruined several nice roasts in the oven already. Also, previous oven had a toast feature and this one doesn't. Is there a way to do this easily in the top oven? I don't know how to rate this range yet, or if I would recommend it to a friend. Need some answers first.

I upgraded to a new Maytag double oven in Sep after having my last one for 15 years! I am so glad I did. We love it even more than our old one, which NEVER had a problem in all the years we had it! We have used all the updated features--convection oven, gridle top--and are happy with them all. The very first thing we baked was granola in the convection oven and hamburgers on the grill. So good!! We bake a lot--every day--so bring on Thanksgiving!

Ovens not as easy to use as expected

In the month I've had the oven, I've found taking food out of the top oven difficult because rack is so close to door. Also, I tried to use the bottom oven on the keep warm, and it burned the food. It was set at 190 and soon after it was burning. The burners on the stovetop work well, but cleaning the surface so there aren't streaks and marks is impossible. It is sometimes hard to get the upper oven control to go on. Have to press several times to find the right spot for the control to work.

Bought for the quick boil feature and that works great. Ovens heat quickly. Keyboard sluggish or non-responsive. Oven auto shuts off if timer is used, forcing preheat again if extra time is required. Hot surface indication is one indicator for entire top. Wife needed to keep instructions in kitchen to use. Unit is not user friendly.

I bought this a little over a month ago. I have not even used all the features yet but I have my go to favorites. I mostly use the upper oven. You can choose cook time or kitchen timer, cook time will shut off the oven automatically vs kitchen timer will let you continue using the oven to bake another thing. I love how the ovens rapidly heat up making the wait time less than a regular oven.

I feel this stove was designed just for me, because I can do so much more than I could ever do on my old stove. I have had 3 of the tops replaced due to imperfections that would not clean. In addition, it is impossible to clean. In order to clean inside the glass on both ovens, the doors have to removed and all new glass installed. Work ever oven I ever had in 50 years

Longest preheat very. Used the rapid preheat and it still takes 15mins to reach 350F. Higher temps take extremely longer. 400F will take 30 mins, so not energy efficient. Spoke to customer support who told me that this is normal. Never would have bought this oven if I'd known how long it takes to preheat the oven since I use the oven a lot. My 20 year old oven only took 4 mins so this is a shock for me. Not happy with this purchase.

I remodeled my kitchen and thought this would be a great choice. Lower oven doesn't hold temperature when baking. I will be 50 to 75 degrees cooler than what was selected.

Just the Right Size

I fell in love with this Range as soon as I saw it. There are just 2 of us in our home now, so heating up the entire range is not necessary. I can bake a pizza for 2 in the top and bake holiday cookies in the bottom oven or both if necessary.

I bought a new double oven Maytag, November time frame. We have had Maytag forever. We had the Gemini. That was the absolute BEST. Our house was hit by lightning and all appliances had to be purchased. The last one we bought this past Nov (time frame). We thought it had the oven/toaster in the top oven. ummm noo it didn't. We have been burning everything in that oven. I have never hated a stove as much as I do this stove. Everything burns on the bottom. We have tried cutting the temp back, way back. putting two pans under the one we are cooking in. The upper oven in the old stove we cooked meals, desserts, whatever we wanted and used it in the toast mode.. The only time I used the big oven was for Holidays. This stove we have now, I would cancel Holidays before I cook in this one. You guys need to go back to the original stove. This one is junk. Not happy with this purchase.

99% great. Only one small suggestion

Love this oven! If someone is in the market for an electric range, which one may actually cook wonderful dishes and baked goods with, this is the best one I have found in this price range (less than $5,000.00). Two small suggestions; 1: Timer only beeps once when done...four beeps would be much better. 2: The oven clock no longer shows when you use the timer. This is second MayTag double oven for us, the first one we had for about 12 years. It still looked and functioned like new. We purchased the new one only because we up-dated our kitchen to stainless steel.

We love the ovens just not the fit and finish

New stove 1/19/2019

We love having the two level independent ovens. However, the bottom oven door is not square to the door, the range button for one of the burners is not lined up with the High on the panel and one burner is burning outside of the circle on the range and causing a cold spot on the range element. We called to ask for a repair or replacement. We were told if we went for repair the option to replace disappeared. We went with replacement. We hope the next one is better.

This double oven range is a great design, we use the small oven for 90% of our baking and it works great. There is one design feature that I would like to see changed. The plus or minus button for temp or time will only increment one degree or minute at a time. I would like to be able to hold it down for continous increment or downward. Small thing but would be nice.

Love the ovens!

I love the two ovens! Use the small one most of the time. I'm still getting used to the stovetop. Seems to run hotter regardless of setting, than my previous stovetop. Cannot keep the black glass stovetop clean, shows every splatter, spice and finger print.

Nice appliance, but . . .

I bought this double oven range to replace the previous double oven Maytag I owned and liked for about 18 years. This new one only has one kitchen timer for both ovens (my previous model had two). The timer is set on the highest volume and is still barely loud enough to hear when standing right next to it. Ovens heat much slower than my old unit. It would be nice if this range had induction cooking in at least one of the burners. When one oven light is on, they are both on even if you're only using one oven. After using this unit for approximately 1 month, the top oven light burned out. When I visited with Lowe's about this, they proceeded to read the owner's manual to me (as if I couldn't read) to instruct me on how to change the light bulb. You'd think that after 18 years, Maytag would have made improvements instead of removing features that were useful. However, it did a nice job at Thanksgiving. Would I recommend? Maybe. Depends on what you're looking for. Wish I had looked around a little more first.

Seems to be good but oven door is crooked

IPurchased this two weeks ago. After it was delivered and they workery left, I realized the oven doors were crooked. The repair man said it couldn't be fixed so another one is on its way. Otherwise it seems to be good.

I bought this less than four months ago. It looks great, however I agree with some of the other reviews that setting the timer and temperature can be a pain. I miss having the number pad along the side. I also used the cleaning function for the first time last night and some of the enamel from inside it top oven chipped off. This is incredibly disappointing as I baby my appliances I do love having the double oven and think that the pre-heat in the upper oven is fantastic.

Heats up fast

We had this range installed about a month ago. We haven't had any issues with it. I love the 2 oven features. It's a little awkward taking out a dish or pans that are on the bottom. The oven door on the top doesn't seem to go all the way but it's not a problem unless you put a dish or pan on the bottom rack. But I still really like this range. The burners heat up really fast. I do wish the display was bigger.
